First off, Merry Christmas to everyone. I am having a nice, quiet day alone with my pets. I was dreading the holidays, but remembered it’s all a matter of perspective. I decided instead of being sad that I was alone, I’d look at it a different way. It was a day where I could do whatever I wanted without feeling any obligations. How great is that!
Since I have switched my web site over to a new host, I haven’t had a chance to do anything to it, including getting my blog back up. I was going to try to put it back up with all of my previous posts, but I decided against that. Why? Well, mainly because it would take a long time. I have a tendency to make things harder for myself, so I decided to just start fresh. I also decided to give blogger a try instead of movable type. I have been very happy with movable type for my blog, and the support is great. But, it is complicated to get it going. I wanted to get my blog up today and still have time to make art! So, I opted for blogger. Maybe it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but, do I really need all of the bells and whistles? I’ve probably got boxes of them already, so no.
Okay, my blog is up! Now for art making. Or, maybe a nap. For christmas, I ordered for myself a Gakken Mook Stereo Pinhole Camera. Yes, it’s in Japanese. I’m hoping since I figured out how to order it, I can also figure out how to assemble it. It’s a kit that you have to put together, and it comes with a full color magazine (in Japanese). If nothing else, the photos in the magazine are lovely to look at. I’m a very visual person, so I’m good to go. I wish I could read it though because there are other cameras pictured in it that, uh, I might want to order if I could only figure out how . . .
I want to give a shout out to my lovely art friend and surrogate mother Carol Parks, or “CP” as Sonora Beam and I call her. She sent me 2 boxes–one for my birthday and one marked “don’t open until Christmas!” I was good, and waited on that one. So, today after giving my pets their Christmas treats, I opened the box from her. It was so fun to have presents to open! Thanks CP!

Merry Christmas to you, Tracy. It was great seeing you this December.
Hey Fowler, It was great seeing you again too. We need to do it again soon! Sorry I missed you at the Pedal Jets show–an out of town friend from came back to visit that night.
Traci,
I’m signed up for 3 of your classes at Art&Soul Hampton and I have been looking for a website or something of yours to peek in on, glad you’re here!
Adrienne
Adrienne, My web site still doesn’t have much on it since I changed hosts. I haven’t had time to get everything back up. But in the mean time, you can look at my work on flickr:
