My birthday was Friday, November 14th, and I went to visit my two best friends in New Mexico for it. It was a quick, 4-day trip, but it was great. I didn’t have much time to take pictures, but I’ll post some that I did take. The photo here I took of myself in the bathroom of a very nice gallery in the KC Crossroads district for First Fridays. I was trying not to get the faucet in the photo, but you can see it in the bottom left corner. Yes, I’m actually using a digital camera. The main thing (and possibly the only thing) I like about fall and winter is getting to wear my hats and scarves that I’ve made.
The first half of my trip was in Santa Fe, visiting my friend Karla, who has this lovely gallery. We’ve been friends since we were freshman in college. For the second half of my short trip, I visited my gal pal Juliana Coles. Other than taking breaks to eat and sleep, we worked in her studio the whole time making art. I’ll post photos as soon as I catch my breath. We took some hilarious photos that I want to make into a movie, if I can figure out how to do it. But they might be a thing where no one but us will think they are funny . . . but we were laughing a lot while we were doing it.
Also, I’m going to be having an open house in my Art House, and also some workshops! Stay tuned for more info and photos.

Beautiful photo of you, Traci. I hope you’re feeling better.
I just LOVE your hat!!!
