The Zine Machine was a workshop that I taught at Art Unraveled, 2008.
In this workshop, the students were part of a mixed-media production team, who, through my artful guidance, rendered their own on-the-spot luscious zines/chapbooks/artist books. Through exercises and assignments based on my non-traditional and free style of working, the students created pages that were based on both their individual work and collaborative work done in the workshop. This zine is made up of the team member’s work, and my work, that was created in this class. The backgrounds for all of the pages in the zine are my personal journal pages.
It is full color on glossy paper, full size (slightly smaller than 8.5″ x 11″), 40 pages counting the cover. And, it’s total eye candy with colorful overload. There is a very limited quantity available, so buy one (or two) before they are gone! They make great gifts for artists.
