my etsy shop is pretty full with my rubber stamps, handmade journals and other mixed-media things. And I hadn’t had much luck in it with my hand-dyed spinning fibers and yarns. Maybe they were getting lost among all of the other things? So I decided to open another etsy shop, BonkersFiber, just for my hand-dyed spinning fibers & yarns! I am slowly getting some things on there, but go ahead and check it out! I still have my fibers and other things on my personal web site as well. I’m just trying to get as much as exposure as I can!
The fiber pictured here is all hand-dyed “silk ‘n merino.” This 20% bombyx silk/80% merino blend is super soft and luminous. The silk gives the fiber a sparkly look and appears more blended with the merino when it is spun up. Besides spinning the fiber, it will also work great for felting projects, and also for knitting with it unspun! (You will need to strip it into pieces about the thickness you want to knit with for this.) I’ve got more listed than what I’ve shown here, so check it out!
