I need to order more toner cartridges for my Color Laser Printer, and they’re expensive. I’m leery to try the “compatible” toner cartridges–they are much cheaper (by half!), but I wonder if the color & quality is as good, and if they will last as long. Or, if they will mess up my expensive laser printer. When I’ve tried the compatible ones for my regular b/w HP laser printer, I don’t think they last as long, so it’s not really saving anything.
Has anyone had any experience with them (toner–not ink jet)?

Hey Traci… I actually have a wonderful laser printer out in my garage because when I found out it was going to cost $340 to get new toner for it I freaked out! Good luck and if you do find something please blog it.. Julia
Julia Anna, I ended up ordering some compatible toner cartridges (a little over $100 each). I'll let you know how they work out.
no contest. super girl to the rescue
I used compatible ones once with my HP but they were a false economy – they didn't last as long, the quality was poor and they gunked up. I was later told by my boyfriend's uncle, who works with printers, to never, ever buy anything but the correct one. Hope that helps. Sue
