I’m going to make this super quick because it’s late, and I’ve been working like crazy getting ready for CHA, and I still have today’s carving to do. Yesterday when I was carving, I decided to carve that hand that I drew on Day 15. So that’s what I did. I actually meant to carve out the hand and leave the background, but I forgot! I had already started carving out the background. But I like how it turned out. Since I carved away the background, I just used my craft knife to cut off the outer areas that were excess space. No need to keep them on there. You can see what I mean in the photo of the eraser. It’s about 1-3/8″ tall and just a hair under 1″ wide.
I decided to sketch something completely different, and sketched one of my sock monkeys. Well, it’s actually my younger sister’s.
There’s a whole story as to why I have it, but I’ll have to save that for another time. This sock monkey (along with my sock monkey) has been immortalized not only with this sketch, but with these buttons, and these rubber stamps. Here are my other posts for this project.

I just discovered your 30 days of carving and dra wing and read all your posts. Very inspiring! I love carving and drawing too!
