Tonight, I finished the journal I’ve been working on!.

The inside pages are a mixture from vintage books (English & Russian), watercolor paper, red rosin paper, & Braille paper. They are all hand-torn to slightly varying sizes, which combined with the variety of pages, adds to the visual interest. I only use pages that will hold up to paint and collage. They are sewn into the book using waxed linen. Either work on the pages as is, letting the original printing add to the visual texture, apply a thin layer of gesso first, or jump right in with collage and paint. It’s got 64 pages and is 7″ x 9″, making it a perfect size to slip into your bag for journaling, collaging, sketching or writing wherever you are. This is perfect for any artist or creative person, and this is the type of journal that I make for myself.
And, I’ve already listed it in my shop for sale!
