Tonight I wanted to relax, so I decided to do some spinning for my art for the day. I love spinning, and rarely have the time (or I should say make the time) to do it. I sell spinning fibers and yarns that I dye, and this fiber is a mix of all different kinds of things. I call it Mulligan Stew. I had the various fibers carded into roving to sell, then I over-dyed it. I started spinning it while I was vending at the Estes Park Wool Market, and finished it up tonight. I’m not sure if I’ll ply it back onto itself for a 2-ply yarn, or ply it with another handspun singles.
To make it easier for everyone to check out what everyone else is doing I’m going to make a links page. I’ll try to get to it the next few days. In the mean time, if you’d like to share what you did today, leave a comment. If you’ve posted what you did some where on the internets, be sure to leave a link so we can check it out. You can see the rest of my posts for this project here.

Craving a sense of accomplishment, I finished a piece today that I started last month: http://nerdygirlguide.blogspot.com/2011/07/chicken-of-sea-finished-piece.html
I love the color of your spun fiber, Traci. Here’s the bit I did today:

Your yarn is beautiful! I’ve always admired someone who could take sheep’s wool and make something wonderful with it! My day 4 is up! I tried something new today. . .

For days 3 + 4, I shot pix of fireworks {our community did the celebration on the 3rd} out of focus to get some bokeh, and edited a zillion shots to find the best.
