New Handmade Books & Alphabet Stamps

four journals

I’ve been a busy little beaver, which is why I haven’t posted in awhile. I’m happy to say that even without the commitment to blog everyday, I am able to keep my commitment to make art every day. But more on that later in another post. All of those covers that I had worked on, I made into books! And then I made more books.

Today I posted all 7 books on my web site, and this is a little chance for you to buy them before I ship them off to Journalfest. So, you have until Noon Central time on Tuesday, Oct. 19 to buy them before I have to pack them up. I have to ship my things off tomorrow, and hopefully I’ll sell them at Journalfest. But if I don’t, you can buy them when I get back. Some of the journals have mixed papers in them, and some have white Rising Stonehenge paper in them. The specifics are in my web shop for each journal. Here’s the link to the sewn journals. And here’s the link to the coil-bound journals.

But wait, that’s not all! I also made two new alphabet rubber stamps!

This one is Octynaz, that I licensed from Ray Larabie at Typodermic Fonts. It’s about an inch tall, and has numbers & punctuation. You can get it here.

The other is Sign Maker, which I made from an old printer’s set of alphabets. Some of the letters were missing, so I reconstructed them! They are about 3/4″ tall. You can get it here.

Both sheets of rubber stamps are 5.5″ wide x 8.5″ tall, and unmounted. The same thing goes for the stamps as the books–I’m packing them up tomorrow at noon to ship off to Journalfest. If you order them after that, I’ll ship them after they arrive back home (if I have to ship them back). If I sell out, I’ll order more! (but you’ll have to wait a few weeks until I have them back in stock.)

And speaking of Journalfest, there is still room in both of my classes. Registration was open until October 1st, but maybe if you contact Teesha Moore, you can find out if she’ll make an exception. Here’s the info on the classes I’m teaching.
