Heaps of Layered Hand Printed Cards
$40 $35 through Feb. 14, 2016

This is much more than just a card making workshop! Along with some printing techniques, you’ll learn how to make several stamps including a background stamp, as well as how to make your own envelopes. And of course, through my fun process you’ll end up with heaps of layered cards, that are all unique without making each one separately, using your handmade printing and stamping tools.

A visual journal combines various aspects of mixed-media, imagery and written word to personally express oneself in a book format. This 8-week, fun and light-spirited class will initiate you into looking inward for visual, self-expression with the emphasis on the process instead of a finished piece of “art.” Learn how to combine mixed-media and imagery with text for your own unique visual expression. This workshop is for anyone interested in visual journaling, from beginners to experienced artists, who are willing to be open to self-exploration through art-making.

Each week you’ll have a new journaling exercise and learn various mixed-media techniques that can be applied to other types of art work. Since this class spans 8-weeks, there will be more time to work than in my 1 or 2-day intensive workshops.

Note: we will be doing different journaling exercises than in the previous sessions.

No art experience necessary. All skill levels are welcome!
