I have really loved doing the 30 Days of Carving, Journaling, and Get Your Art on. I knew I wanted to do another one, and the past few weeks I’ve been trying to decide what to have the focus be. I was really leaning toward painting, or drawing, or photography. But I just couldn’t pick one. So, I decided why choose? Why not do another 30 Days of Get Your Art On? So, that’s what I’m doing, starting September 1. Wanna join me? I’ll use the same guidelines for myself as before:
- I’ll make art every day for 30 days and post what I have done.
- I don’t have to finish what ever I’m working on that day, I just have to work on something.
- I have to work for 30 minutes, but can work longer if time permits.
- It doesn’t matter what I do for the art making, as long as I work on art.
- I won’t feel guilty for taking the time to work on art and I won’t have to justify why I’m doing it.
- I don’t have to go into detail in my post about how I did anything or what tools, materials I used (unless I want to).
Make your own guidelines that will work for you, so that you will succeed. This is supposed to be fun & inspiring, so it’s important to set guidelines that are realistic. If they aren’t, you might be setting yourself up for failure.
Grab a button from the right side bar by copying the code. Then paste it in your blog or web site to share the fun. If you’d like your name and web site or blog to be listed on the list of artists joining in, let me know in the comments. I’ll add it to the list as I have time. Tell your friends! The other 3 “30 Days” have been great experiences for me, so I hope you’ll join in, even if you can’t do it every day.
I’d love to try this! I’m ready! I don’t mind having my blog listed as one of the “players”….
Thanks!
WOW! I might be able to join you periodically- since I’m journaling anyway, but not definate as I have my studio tour to get ready for on Sept. 24/25th.
Look forward to seeing what you do in the month!
Hey! I usually make art any day anyway, so I’ll join in! Marcia Beckett

Hi! I’d love to be listed as a participating artist!
I think I can pull this off again…was such a mammoth effort for me to complete it last time you did it, but it was worth it to my soul.
so I’m happy to be a player, the first for me is tomorrow but I’ll start with you gals as its easier to keep it up that way.
I have been doing a personal challenge like this for about 40 days now. I would love to join in. Enjoying reading your blog.
I’d love to join you in this… only caveat is I may not post in my blog every day, but I’ll take a picture every day & post the pictures very few days. Is that okay?
(or maybe I’ll have a blog post each day without saying anything! just a picture of that day’s results…or find somewhere else to post my day’s results…)
Jessica: there’s no right or wrong–you set up your own guidelines & way you want to do it so that it works for you.
I’d love to take part this time round, I need to get productive on a daily basis again! ;o)
Hi. As I really need some structure and motivation, I’ve decided to join in too. Will go and blog now so as to make sure everyone knows, lol!!! http://lindezines.wordpress.com/
Love to sign up – need a proverbial kick start 😉
I would love to join the fun! I do much better with deadlines anyway and like the idea that anything goes as long as you are making art everyday. Count me in! Thanks!
I would join, but I just did 30 days of art blogging for August! I think I am going to take a month off. I try to do art every day, but it is sometimes difficult to try to blog about it everyday. I do love seeing the art that you create and perhaps next time you do a 30 days of Get Your Art On, I will join in. 🙂

Grabbing your button again!! I like being held accountable this way. I will be doing the 30 Days of Lists, but art journaling as well. I am glad we can do anything, because this will mean even applying background will count!!
Hi Traci,
I wrote you a “love note as well”, but just wanted to say that I want to play. I’ve put your button on my blogs
if you want to mention them:

Grabbed the button again and ready to do another 30 day challenge. I work two jobs now but I can do doodling and drawing at work so I will be doing a lot of that!
I’d like to do this again… but will change my guidelines a bit this time. And I’m okay with my blog on the website. 🙂
I’m going to combine this challenge with The Art Journal Workshop and go to frickin town. So there.
Great idea Robin!
I really need to do this. I have a studio full of product, that has been sitting here untouch for way too long. Now if I can just get busy. Yes you may use my blog – another thing that has been unloved. I blame it all on Facebook. LOL
Count me in, Tracy! The last 30 days did me a world of good, and I’m ready for another! Please add my name to your list. It will help me feel the obligation I’m making to myself all the more!
Hi Traci, I am new to blogging, new to art community sharing, experienced photographer, and artist and creator at heart. I only have 2 posts on my blog so far and found your challenge a great way to kick start the habit of making art daily and posting regularly. The only thing is that I live in a rural area of the South of Chile and not having electricity limits my computer time a little bit. So, I make the promise to make art daily and to post as much as I can possibly bother my neighbors with electricity to charge my computer. Thanks for a great idea. Oh! And I almost forgot, 2 of my 4 kids, Saskja and Mila ages 8 and 7 will be joining me on this great art adventure. Much love to all from the South part of the world.
I am in. I have a lot of things that need to get finished. Also need to kick start posting on my blog more. What a great idea.
I forgot to say that I would like to appear as one of the participants on your list. It gives me motivation to know some people may be checking 🙂 thanks!
I am participating!
