This is much more than just a card making workshop! Along with some printing techniques, you’ll learn how to make several stamps including a background stamp, as well as how to make your own envelopes. And of course, through my fun process you’ll end up with heaps of layered cards, that are all unique without making each one separately, using your handmade printing and stamping tools.

Take your artistry to the next level. Work on studio practices to make pieces missing from your portfolio while learning valuable entrepreneurial skills to boost your visibility, such as website development, grant and scholarship writing, show setup, pricing your art, talking to galleries, and more. Develop your future as an artist with professional guidance on practices from artists and specialists in the field and work toward your own solo exhibition at a local gallery for the April/May Final Fridays.

Learn the basics of hand building in clay with slabs, balls and coils to make functional and decorative pieces. We'll play with textures, carving & sculpting to manipulate the clay into textured bowls, chia pets, monster pots and other fun stuff.

Construct and create functional and sculptural objects out of clay slabs, coils, and other handbuilding methods and then take them through the glazing and firing process.

Starting with thrift store finds, learn how to take old clothes and turn them into fashionable unique garments! Students will use their crativity and basic sewing skills to design, modify, and reconstruct articles of clothing.

Konnichi wa, Tokyo! Explore the long cultural history and architectural beauty of Japan while planning, designing, and engineering a kid-sized, cardboard box metropolis. Students apply their imaginations to fill in the city with artwork, culture, and function. Using Tokyo as an example, we will look at urban planning and design and how it shapes the world we live in. Students gain an appreciation for shape, form, and proportion as they apply these principles to their expanding city. The real magic happens as students take ownership of their structures, identities, and culture within the city. The cardboard city is installed in the lobby for all to enjoy with a public opening on the last day of camp that aligns with Final Friday.

Explore animals and ecosystems across the world! Trace the taxonomy of wildlife and where these beautiful creatures live in a weeklong animal extravaganza. In performing arts and dance, students will move, script, and perform work that emphasizes the importance of protecting wildlife. Learn to move like animals as you study the aspects of their lives. STEAM principles include biology, animal preservation, endangered species, and ecosystems. In visual arts we will work together to bring 2D and 3D animal art together in a giant interlinking preserve in the lobby. Come on all you wild things, let's get together and show the world how important our animals are!
