I am Your Beacon

First, I want to thank everyone who has donated to my ChipIn “Operation: Find Goliath” fund. All amounts are appreciated, no matter how large or small because every bit helps. The support I’ve gotten through the donations and notes is heartwarming. I also appreciate all of the calls, texts & e-mails I get about possible Goliath sightings. I check each one out and keep hoping one of them will be the call that brings him home!

I keep visualizing that I am a beacon for Goliath, to find his way home. This has been my mantra the past few weeks. So yesterday I did a journal page about it.

Other than the stamped alphabet, which is my Nashville & Nashville Twins alphabet rubber stamps, where I used an azure StazOn stamp pad, everything else was done with Derwent Artbar & Derwent Inktense Blocks–even the stamped borders, circles & triangles. I did the stenciling by grating either the inktense blocks with the Derwent Grate ’n Shake OR or the artbars with the Shave ‘n Save (sorry, I can’t remember which one I used, but I think it was the inkense blocks . . . ). Then I added a little water, shook it up, and put it in their little Spritzer. I really like spraying color with the inktense blocks. Using the grate ‘n shake & the spritzer makes it really easy to make your own sprays. I did the stamping by lightly misting a sponge with water, rubbing an artbar on the moist area, then using it like a stamp pad. I outlined the stamped letters with a white Sakura Glaze gel pen.

It’s been 3 weeks now since Goliath disappeared, but I still have hope we’ll be reunited. If you’d like to donate to my ChipIn, to help offset the expenses from trying to find him, you can either click here, or in the right sidebar of my blog. Even buying something from Amazon or Dick Blick through my links will help because I’m an affiliate. I get a teeny-tiny commission on things purchased from their sites when my links are used, depending on what is purchased. Or, you can buy something from my shop. I just got a bunch of new henna stencils in, and some new cool tape. It’ll take me awhile to get them all listed, so you might want to keep checking. OR, if you have skills useful in finding lost animals (or have a friend who does), that’ll be very appreciated as well! I just want my Goliath safely back home!

  1. Traci,
Hoping my small donation helps you cover some of your costs trying to find Goliath. I had a cat disappear once, and she never came home. Wishing you the best in Goliath returning home. They are our family.

  2. I’m very sorry about Shelby, but you definitely did the right thing. What a long happy life Shelby had with you. I hope your sadness eases soon. Anne x x
