I had been working on art for a half-hour first thing in the mornings, but based on Eric Maisel’s suggestion in his workshop “Your Best Life in the Arts,” I extended it to an hour. I worked on one of the journal covers that I started yesterday. It looks really different, mainly because I added some pink paint to it. The center on the front cover is a photo I took with my iPod. After I glued down the photo, I did some stamping. Two of the stamps I carved during 30 Days of Carving and I also stamped with a pencil topper eraser to make the circles, and my Duality alphabet stamps. I had trouble getting the letters to show up enough on the background, so I ended up stamping about six layers of paint & stamp pad ink!
I’ve got a little more to do on it, mainly on the back cover. Hopefully I can get it finished up tomorrow morning, then work on the other one I started.
WOW, what a difference the pink makes…totally wouldn’t have known it was the one from yesterday.
GREAT JOB!
Love your design on the cover. It invites you in to see it just a little closer. Totally inspirational. I like to idea of doing a warm up each morning.
Love this cover. Looking forward to seeing it “finished.” What more could you do? Anyway, I agree 100% with Eric on the starting off the day with art thing. It’s the best time of the day and especially close to the dreaming time
