I dealt with computer issues most of the day. I decided to update my system on my MacBook Pro, which I knew was silly considering that Mercury is Retrograde right now. So long story short, after working on a knitting pattern for Knitter’s Magazine, I crawled into bed. I kept thinking there was something I forgot to do. And then it hit me. I hadn’t drawn yet! I’m glad I remembered before it was too late! So instead of going to sleep at a decent time, I doodled in my sketch book with my cats in bed with me.
It started out pretty simple, and then took on a life of it’s own. I couldn’t stop! I used crayons, and Pentel fine point markers and one of those super cheap watercolor sets with lots of colors and the watercolors look like candy. The watercolors were really, really, really pastel. The set looks cool with so many colors, but you get what you pay for. Even so, it still turned out nice, and it was a great way to wind down after a cold, dreary & stressful day. Also I used my watercolor brush on the markers to also add color, since the markers aren’t permanent.
